PARTNERS IN CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP TRAINING, INC. (PCLT)

The Partners in Christian Leadership Training, Inc. (PCLT) was organized in July 2006 as a duly non-profit organization with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the Philippines' government. In 1999, David Nelson served as the Bible Training Centre for Pastors (BTCP) Philippines coordinator until January 2002, when he became the Asian Coordinator for the Bible Training Centre for Pastors. In July 2001, Pastor Henry Ventura and Pastor Max Caindoy began serving as the BTCP Coordinator for Luzon and the Visayas (central islands) respectively. In May 2002, Pastor Jun Tabada began serving as the Mindanao Coordinator (southern island). In 1999, there were 60 pastors and church leaders being trained through the BTCP concept and curriculum (link to BTCP concept and curriculum page). By December 2002, the ministry had grown to 400 pastors and church leaders in training and by June 2004, the ministry grew to 1,000 pastors and church leaders in training. After BTCP refined their ministry strategy to only facilitate partnering ministries who are involved at the local level by printing and shipping the BTCP manuals, CCI began to organize the Philippines as a national organization that one day would stand on its own.

To date, 538 pastors and church leaders have graduated from the BTCP training throughout the Philippines. These graduates are serving as pastors, church leaders, church planters and missionaries.

Vision

The Vision of PCLT is to impact the Philippines and beyond by equipping pastors and church leaders for local church ministry, by facilitating church planting efforts and by mobilizing the church for missional activity. PCLT's strategy is to partner with like-minded mission personnel, national churches and Bible schools and seminaries in establishing training centers in every major city and province of the Philippines. PCLT believes that as churches are impacted in terms of equipping and spiritual growth, communities will be impacted for Christ. If enough communities are impacted throughout the country, the whole country will be impacted. In essence PCLT's strategy is a grass roots movement in local churches that will have individual life change that will have a ripple effect throughout the church, the community and the nation.
